Delete your account

You can delete your RealEstateKart account and its data at any time. Deleting is permanent.

Option 1: in the app (fastest)

1. Open the RealEstateKart app and sign in.
2. Go to Profile → Delete account.
3. Confirm. Your account is deleted immediately.

Option 2: without the app

Email [to be added before launch] from the email address of your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to confirm the request from that address. We act on requests within 7 days and email you when it is done.

What is deleted

• Your profile (name, email, mobile number, area and preferences).
• All your listings and their photos. Photo files are removed from storage in the background.
• Your chats, favourites, saved searches, rental applications and visit requests.
• Your sign-in sessions and devices registered for notifications.

What we keep, and for how long

• Moderation, report and grievance records that we must keep under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, only for as long as the law requires.
• Your consent history (what you agreed to and when), to show we met the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Messages you sent stay visible to the other person only if they were already delivered to their device.
